KABALE – As Kigezi High School Primary commemorates its centenary milestone, Isaac Rukandema, a distinguished alumnus, has donated a complete Brass Band to the school situated in the Northern Division of Kabale Municipality.

Isaac Rukandema, a former aspirant for the position of Member of Parliament in Kabale Municipality, led a successful fundraising campaign to acquire the Brass Band, which is a pivotal part of the school’s centenary festivities, as confirmed by the school’s administration.

Sam Tindimwebwa Kanyamukiza, the Publicity Secretary for the Centenary Celebrations, explained that the alumni, known as the “Old Boys” (O. B’s), initiated the Brass Band Project as the inaugural event to mark Kigezi High School’s remarkable 100-year journey.

Remarkably, Rukandema generously contributed a sum of Shs.20 million, covering the entire cost of the equipment. This new Brass Band replaces the traditional band equipment that had been the school’s iconic symbol for many decades.
