Bishop Akanjuna Urges Christians to Shun Immorality in Kabale

KABALE – The Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna, Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, has urged Christians to steer clear of immoral behaviors fueled by worldly pleasures, such as theft and sexual misconduct.

Speaking at the confirmation service in St. Andrews Nyabikoni COU Parish yesterday, Bishop Akanjuna emphasized the importance of wholeheartedly serving the Lord and turning away from ungodly practices.

During the confirmation of 78 Confirmants into the Anglican faith, Bishop Akanjuna stressed the significance of placing unwavering faith in God, reminding the congregation to trust in His constant presence in their lives.

He encouraged a deep connection with Jesus Christ, highlighting His understanding of the challenges faced by those not born again.

Bishop Akanjuna underscored the necessity for genuine life changes, advising Christians to shun satanic acts and responsibly spread the gospel.

In his sermon, Rev. Robertson Peter Agaba, the diocesan Youth worker, focused on repentance as a crucial step toward salvation. Referring to Psalms 51, he emphasized the need to pray for deliverance from sin and to acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Creator.
