KISORO – The Bishop of Kabale Diocese, the Rt Rev. Callist Rubaramira has today confirmed 331 Confirmants into the Catholic faith during a mass held at St. Peter’s Gisoro Catholic Parish in Kisoro Municipality.
During his homily, Bishop Rubaramira underscored the vital role of parents in shaping the spiritual upbringing of their children. He urged parents to impart the virtues and norms of the Catholic Church, emphasizing that a Christian home serves as the foundation of the church, particularly when there is peace within the family. Bishop Rubaramira stressed that a strong and thriving church requires a steadfast faith among its members.

The parish priest of St. Peter’s Gisoro Catholic Parish Rev Fr Mbabazi Arifonsi, highlighted the significance of confirmation in instilling the values of the church in Christians. He referred to the newly confirmed Confirmants as warriors of Jesus Christ.
Rev Fr Mbabazi encouraged Christians to anchor their lives in a steadfast relationship with Jesus Christ. He expressed concern about the misconception that some people hold, believing that the church is only for the elderly. He dispelled this notion, emphasizing that the church is inclusive and relevant to people of all ages.
